Taco Pizza 💛💚💙💜🤎🧡


Taco Tuesday is still a thing, pandemic or not and we want to "TACO bout It". We have been experimenting with recipes to fill in the time being home bound. We think we have hit gold by mixing the best of both worlds, pizza and tacos. Ergo, the Taco Pizza.

We know it's been done before, but this is our version, we think it's a winner. Let us know what you think?



INGREDIENTS 1 1/2 tbsp. oil 8 oz. lean ground beef 1 tsp. of garlic powder, 1 tsp. cumin, kosher salt, chili flakes, to taste

4 12" flour tortilla 2 c. shredded pepper jack 1 c. shredded cabbage mixed with 1 c. chopped cilantro, 1/4 c. white onion, 1 diced tomato, 1 diced avocado 1/4 c. sour cream

4 Jalopenos roasted on the stove or bbq

Lemon wedges DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 400º. Lightly grease a baking sheet with 1/2 tablespoon oil and set aside. In a skillet, brown the beef, 3 to 4 minutes. Add seasoning and continue to brown until beef has cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes more. Place tortilla on greased baking sheet and top with 1/4 cup cheese. Top cheese with beef mixture and another 1/4 cup cheese. Bake until cheese has melted and tortilla has crisped up, 7 to 8 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for 1 minutes, add cheese, shredded cabbage mixture, sour cream, tomatoes, and avocado. Serve with a slice of lemon and a roasted jalapeno. Resist the urge to over-cheese it, instead put a little salsa on it and savor the flavor. Or, do your own thing and let us know how it goes. Don't forget to support your local restaurants.
