I Adore Amor
Thank you Brian Cuddy of The Organic Cellar, for discovering and bringing us such wonderful "Biodynamic wines of the world". I had the most delicious wine last evening accompanying my porterhouse steak, topped with crimini mushrooms along with a wedge salad with blue cheese crumbles from Trader Joes. The wine was a Dominio de Punctum Amor Amor Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from Spain. And was it delish!
The website states that, "Amor Amor is made with estate grown grapes from organic farming, free of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, using biodynamic practices that improve the soil structure and enhance the natural cycle of the vines achieving the highest quality grapes, night harvested in September-October. Alcohol fermentaion in stainless steel tanks under temperatures between 21-24 degrees centigrade and gently filtered".
It was so well balanced, with soft tannins, a long rich finish, aromas of blueberry and cassis. The color was a deep ruby red color, unlike Dorothy's shoes. And unlike the Wizard of Oz, this wine is available. Go to www.theorganiccellar.com to order . And make sure to get more than one, they have free shipping on orders of 6 or more. Believe me you'll wish you did! Enjoy.
