A bartender can also be known as "friend". An artist of libations, a great listener, he takes care of our thirst and sometimes emotional needs. He asks us, "What're you having tonight?" "How's the family?" "What's new?" Sound familiar? Then you must be at your neighborhood bar. And today is the day to tell all of our favoite bartenders, "Thank you"!

One of my favorite "bartenders", (he isnt really a bartender, but he makes great cocktails), has been seen at the many wine venues in our valley. Charlie Morrison is the face of Jardesca and makes fresh and natural botanical infused spritzes. He mesmerizes with his clapping skills, and he's fun to watch in action mode. Jardesca is made of a "low alcohol aperitif that marries 10 botanicals with a blend of 3 artisanal California wines" and the fresh herbs of your choice. It's the perfect alternative to heavier and higher alcohol drinks. Right now they have a fun special for an intimate party, a Spritzology Class and a Jardesca Spritz starter kit. Go on line and get the skinny. jardesca.com

I'd like to give a shout out to the bartenders at Casa Blanca Restaurant in Cathedral City. They're the same girls that serve and prepare delicious libations and fill your table with shrimp cocktail, tacos and the Mexican food that we love. Maria, Karen and Jasmine are spot-on with their delicious cocktails of Micheladas, Margaritas, and Blurry Marys. And if you go to Happy Hour, Monday thru Friday, 3pm to 6pm, margies are only $3.99. Please say hello and show your appreciation with a big thank you!
