Rosé the Cala Way
It's always rosé time in the CV. Making it a distinct pleasure to meet Joachim Splichal, owner and proprietor of Domaine de Cala, a 600 acre winery in Brignoles, the heart of Provence, France. He had a vision to make delicious wines that express Provence's Terroir. Sun, soil and wind are the three elements that are an integral part of the land with its dreamy terrain, makings for very tasty Rosés
Domaine de Cala produces two rosés, the Classical and the Prestige.
The Classical is a pinkish/orange hue with aromas of floral and citrus on the nose; the palate displays cherry and citrus notes that result in a spicy finish with nice minerality.
The Prestige is a pale peach hue with aromas of white stone fruit and critus zest; the palate displays the same notes with a hint of white pepper, resulting in a finish of bitter citrus and nice minerality.
The Winery also makes a delicious
Cala Rouge, a red wine blend of southern Rhône varietals, that is absolutely delicious.
